What brings you joy? As in, what are things you do (or want to do) with your time that make you feel recharged, excited, alive?
If you’re reading this, I’m willing to bet you might be a writer or a photographer (or, at least you want to be someone who knows how to communicate with words and take beautiful pictures of their life).
Every Monday, I send out pocket-sized lessons with resources and guided prompts to help make integrating those practices into your daily life a little more simple.
But you can read all the posts or sign up for all the courses and take all the classes and it won’t matter if you don’t do this one thing: allow yourself to take joy seriously.
You can let go of the guilt that creeps in when you take time away from the kids to write.
You can take that bit of “extra” money you’ve been holding back for something and invest it in the tools you need to practice your writing, your photography, your creative thing.
You can acknowledge that participating in what brings you joy is a gift from your Heavenly Father and it’s worth making time for.
Christians like to talk a lot about being good stewards of our time and emotional/financial/mental resources. What if unapologetically making space for what brings us joy is one way of doing that?
That’s what this creative series for paid subscribers is about: helping you make space for joy in tangible ways (while checking guilt at the door when you do).
This is my fifth installment of my creative series for paid subscribers. These go out every Monday. You can find the first four posts in this series linked here, here, here and here.
Paid subscribers get immediate access to:
» the full archive of this creative series to revisit as often as they need.
» bonus printable of the Meaningful Mama Guide—a mini workbook to help you know how to manage your time in a life-giving way.
» private chat threads with me where you can work through this stuff with like-minded people in a safe place.
» a master playlist of over 40+ hours of beautiful, emotive music to speak to your soul
» + other tiny perks I toss in whenever I feel like it because delighting people makes me happy.
If you want to get in on that, just sign up below! And as always, free subscribers still get my Thursday Dispatches every week.
Today’s post is me sharing something with you I’ve never taught before: photo journaling. It’s not a complicated concept, but it’s one that brings immediate gratification when it comes to the arts of writing and photography.
You’re gonna love this. Let’s get into it.
