A Posture of Surrender || light & letter pt. 3
one way to navigate disappointment, stress & hindrances.
Today’s post is about identifying what you can change to build a haven of creativity in whatever season you’re in right now.
We often think our creativity can only happen if we have regular getaways set in dreamy landscapes or when we have stable weekly childcare. While there’s nothing wrong with those things, they’re not realistic or accessible to most women (me included 🙋🏻♀️).
Realizing whatever our ideal atmosphere for creativity to flourish is out of reach can discourage us from even trying it at all.
If you’ve ever thought:
“What’s the point of trying to write if every writing session gets interrupted?!”
“I’d never want to take pictures of my “real life”, I’m overwhelmed and everything feels like a mess.”
“That one woman I follow on social media creates SO MUCH. I can’t figure out how to do that. What’s wrong with me?”
This post from my creative series for paid subscribers is here to help.
This week’s goals:
to give you the tools to make your home and life the place where your artistry (i.e., writing, photography, etc) can thrive best.
to help you articulate your personal values and learn how to protect them.
I can’t wait to get started.
