The photo service seems really cool, but does it mean you dont journal every day? If I wanted to do a photo a day practice, for example, I would need a bluetooth/personal printer. It is very cool, but just trying to envision its utility.

I really like washi tape! What a great reason to buy more.

My current journal is almost done. I have another waiting to use but now I think I need a spiral bound one for effective photo journaling. This might also compel me to take more photos. I dont like to use my phone a lot because I feel like the images arent great...

Thanks for this.

What a fun post!! I love creative memory-keeping like this. I used to be so into scrapbooking as a kid and would spend *hours* using my squiggly scissors to cut out all kinds of crazy looking paper, ha. I would love to make a photo journal for each of my sons and give them to them when they leave the house... going to think on this project some more <3

Those mini photos are SO cute! I love them for my physical photo boards I have in a few places around the house. I also love this idea. I don't journal often in a physical space, but I can think of a few times when that might be a better option than something digital. Great idea!

I'm part of the club of people who buy a new journal every year with the intention of journaling, in any shape or form, but it rarely happens. Although the moments where I do get to sit down and write something, whether it be photo journaling or morning pages, are gorgeous!

So agree that printed-out photos just hit differently. What a gift to flip through the journal later!

I. LOVE. THIS. IDEA!!! I’ve never been terribly crafty so scrapbooking is fun like once a decade for me 😂 but I photograph my days so much (the cats, the birds outside, nature walks, etc) and I love how simple- yet creative - this idea is. Right up my alley!! I started a “Glimmers” folder on my phone as I heal my nervous system (a way to flip thru things that made me smile and remind my brain and body the world is full of good things too) … and I really love the idea of making that more tangible! Ahhhh, I’m so excited. 😁

Your last post inspired me to search for a Bluetooth photo printer, and I found a returned one on Amazon for $18! 🙏🏻 I am so excited to start this practice when the printer comes in the mail because it fills my need to write and capture beautiful photos without having to be on social media, which I am truly sick of. Thank you for sharing more about this!

Love this! I might have to take up this practice, and also introduce my kids to it. I’d been thinking the next family vacation we took that I needed to introduce them to travel journaling—this seems like a nice, more regular practice they’d enjoy.

I've photo-journaled on trips before! It's great to be able to document as things are happening instead of trying to remember it all when you get home. And yes, this is a great activity for kids too!
